Very good post. It is true that many, many people are trying to do too many things with their blogs/websites all at the same time...which makes most of the things they do only work in an extremely limited capacity, where as if they started 1-3 things and focused on making those work and be good, they then could add more and everything would work to it's fullest potential

Yes, content is the most important thing. Content and traffic is what gives your blog value. Without content you cant have traffic and you wont make money.

I liked how you compare blogging and the spear, it is so true. People fail to realize that you have to provide value to someone else in order to make money from them. Without value your blog is worthless in making money, unless you have a lot of money to promote it.
